Tamworth Carnival
Missfit are teaming up with Outside the Box Photography - www.outsidetheboxphotography.co.uk and Tamworth Council's Arts Team - www.tamworth.gov.uk to present a Catwalk Project at this years Tamworth Carnival.
The fashion show will incorporate Missfit clothing ranges ReCreate and Tribute2 both of which will feature new designs.
As well as this we will be revealing our latest clothing label Curious, cutting edge fashion clothing designed for men or women to wear – you decide. This clothing range takes inspiration from the street and we want our customer base to be involved in it's design from the outset. Together with Saraundo Design Consultants we thought we'd hand the decision of the final brand identity over to our customers by running an online competition to choose the Curious logo design from the options Saraundo created.
Missfit would like to help promote the fabulous work of some local aspiring fashion designers on the day and will be inviting entries from amateur designers for inclusion on the Catwalk at the event. More details of how you can take part in the Catwalk Project will be in local press Tamworth Herald on June 16th with closing date for entries on June 30th. The Catwalk Project will take place after the main Carnival Procession, the highlight of which will be the Carnival King & Queen whose outfits this year will be designed and made by Missfit Creations. With the Staffordshire Hoard visiting Tamworth Castle at the same time the Festival will have a Saxon theme. The outfits for the King & Queen will be brought up to date this year with a Saxon feel to reflect the festival taking place.
