Dresses like this bold seventies shift make you wonder when we stopped dressing as colourfully, this is a riot of primary colour and geometric prints!
Made by County Fashions, the dress is 100% cotton and has survived relatively well considering its age - I have had to repair the neck edge visibly, the alternative was binding but I think this works as the mend shows how much we care to save these beautiful designs. The dress fastens at the back with its original zipper in good working order. Although it isn't entirely unscathed by time, the bright colours and eye-catching patterns detract from any ageing signs well. The quality of the fabric means this dress has several more years of wear left so hopefully will be brightening up a new wardrobe soon.
