Fred Perry is a brand I'm very familiar with having worked at many Mod/Scooter Rally events. Once thing I'm always certain of, they sell, over and again.
There is a wide appeal for the jackets particularly that never ages - as the design of the garments themselves rarely seems to. They have a timeless style and guaranteed quality that's rarely found in other major sportswear brands.
This particular jacket is made in the bomber style, similar to the Harrington style jacket popular with Mods. An enclosed zipper fastens the front that bears the Fred Perry wreath logo on the pull tab. The jacket fastens up to a funnel neck and the long sleeves have tight cuffs. The waistband cuff is also in good condition and has a white stripe feature running around the inside.
The jacket has a soft fleece lining and both outer and inner shell are black. There are two front side pockets with zip fastenings and covered plackets. A further pocket can be found inside the left lining, also zip closure.
The jacket washed well at a low temperature. There are some signs of slight bobbling under the pockets and the previous wearer must have favoured woolen jumpers as I've spent ages with a roller removing small fibres of wool from the lining - no cosmetic damage though.
