This started out life as a child's duvet cover but having lost a few poppers and gaining a couple of tears, the fabric was prime for upcycling.
I decided to go with some cool cotton dungarees  (I may use the rest in a dress so watch this space...)
I've carefully patterned placed so as to make Kitty as prominent as I could in all the right places. The front bib is taken from the pillow slip and the rest from the reverse of the quilt cover.
The top has a wide band above the bust and two shoulder straps. The left has a zip opening with a hook and eye fastener at the top. I have elasticated the waist and added roomy pockets in the trouser sides. The trouser hem reaches ankle length but can be rolled up easily if preferred.
My mannequin is a little smaller in size than the dungarees so the fit is loose.
I've included pic of original duvet in the photos.
