An enduring style, this dress has been made to measure in the popular tea dress design of the day. Perfect for walking out in and with a full skirt it would be a great dress for an afternoon dance.
Made from quality cotton, the dress washed at low temperature beautifully and required very little pressing. Fastening at the back with its original metal zipper, the tailoring in this dress is well executed and the dress was definitely made to flatter the figure with the paneled front bodice as well as tailoring at the shoulder and back. 
Where it's gathered at the waist there's a nicely rolled hem feature and its always lovely to see the makers hand stitching - which is perfectly neat along the hemline.
This really is a gorgeous example of 1950s style in every way and it's a look that transfers seamlessly through the decades to look as good today as it ever did.
