A rare find for me, a 1960s dress that doesn't require any restoration. This beauty is practically perfect!
From designer of delightful dresses, Devonshire Lady was founded in the 1940s and a label check dates this dress in the 1960s. Made from 100% polyester, the dress required little laundering and I only pressed the collars.
The green and red colours are vibrant and the floral display beautifully bold. The large white lapel style collars are virtually unscathed by time and similarly the white turn back cuffs. No pulls and a minute amount of discolouration. The body of the dress is the same, I haven't found any flaws. The dress is panelled and this gives a very flattering shape and one of the best features has to be the zip front fastening which is in good working order.
The label gives sizing as a UK 14 Bust 91cm / 36" HIps 97cm / 38"
By todays standard sizing this can sit between a size 12-14 so please check measurement guide - all taken with the dress lay flat.
