When it arrived in my vintage stock, this dress was in pieces. The maker had begun putting the dress together but some seams had disintegrated with age and others were tacked. It's fair to say they weren't a natural dressmaker as I had to remodel the pieces a little where they didn't match up but I've kept it as authentic as possible. If you turn it inside out you'll see both my own and the original stitching - I've not overlocked in keeping with the age of the dress.
The zipper had to be replaced as the original was mould damaged and there is a little staining on the inner armpit facings suggesting it may have been worn and then taken apart for alteration.
Otherwise, this is a superb example of 1960s homemade style. The fabric alone is an amazing 1960s piece of history, these dresses don't come along often.
