A rare beauty, this has been hand made to order it would appear for a design company in London in the 1960s. The hallmarks of home sewing are evident in the order label and the dress can be aged by the lack of overlocking/zigzag stitching along with the original metal zipper.
It's a beautiful example of 1960's style, feminine and fashionable with that above the knee length skirt and the floral trims. The zipper works well and there is also a half tie belt. The neck edge is collared in the contrast which also features on the cuffs, hem and belt. The dress has been tailored at the bust and back and has a broad A line skirt.
