Here's a seventies dress that will just keep going, made from Dicel, it's a man made acetate fabric, revolutionary at the time for replicating as near as possible the drape and sheen of silk. It can be dyed brilliant colours as in the case of this dress and, as you can see, doesn't fade with time.
This vibrant green dress has a floral print in blues, purple and beige, the bodice and skirt are paneled to give a flattering fit and it fastens with its original metal zipper in good working order. The long sleeves are roomy and elasticated at the cuff and the dress falls in a gentle A-line that reaches the ankles.
I've not found any damage or stains and the dress has washed and pressed well. Made by Evans, a UK brand still known for it's range of plus sized garments and quality.
