Difficult to list as there isn't a category for skirt and top suits which is why it's under dresses as, at a glance it could be one piece.
Designed by Mary Harnes who's fashion business appears to date back to the early 1960s and traded until the mid 80s, the sizing label reads UK 12 but please do check the measurements as the skirt waist especially is small er than todays size 12.
Made from a lightweight acetate fabric, easy to wash and requiring little pressing, the top has a nice wide collar that fastens with an invisible zipper from mid chest up to the neck edge. The raglan style sleeve is gathered all around creating a lovely pleated gather front and back and the sleeves have a wide cuff. At some stage I believe there could have been a tie belt with the top.
The skirt has a narrow waistband that fastens at the back with zipper and hook and eye. It falls in a gentle A-line to the ankle.
A really good example of both quality and style from a renowned London designer that is still in excellent condition, a versatile addition even to todays wardrobe.
