This stylish two-piece suit comprises a knee length sleeveless dress and long sleeved matching jacket.
Made from linen, both pieces are fully lined and have been expertly handmade. The linen is a pale lemon shade with pale blue vertical pinstripe detail on both dress and jacket. The lining is a two tone peach colour with a lux satin finish.
Let's start with the dress. Simple shift style with slight A-line, it finishes at the knee and fastens at the back with its original zipper in good working order.  There is tailoring at the bust, back and shoulder to give a flattering fit. There is a small round neck and a shaped panel has been stitched below this with the pinstripes running horizontally to add a touch of detail on an otherwise classic shift dress.

The jacket is what really sets this two-piece off. Almost cape like were it not for the long sleeves, there are no front fastenings other than one large aqua marine vintage button. This button is attached to a roll over feature collar that sweeps down on the right hand side to fasten to the left front jacket. You will find tailoring at the shoulder and bust.

There is a modernity to this suit that almost looks as though it could have been made recently, indeed the condition is so good I did question its age. The metal zipper and vintage button along with stitching detail tell another tale - the stitching particularly as no overlocker has been used and there's a lot of hand finishing.
It really is a superb quality vintage make that deserves to have a new lease of life.
