I have so many dresses that are similar in style to this 1970's handmade lovely. What they have in common is the polyester fabric and loud print, very often knee length like this one and paneled to fit the body comfortably. Despite the similarities, no two are ever alike as the prints and colours all differ.
This dress is likely a one-off as well. The chosen fabric is graphic in its design with a red/orange line running horizontally across then forming rounds that resemble sunsets. This are joined by bold black lines and shapes on a white backdrop that together make a striking look.
The maker has pattern matched the panels well following the lines of the pattern and featured a wide angel type short sleeve and small scooped neck.
The dress fastens with its original zipper in good working order.
It washed well but there remain a couple of faded stais, difficult to pinpoint. Like so many polyester dresses, this one has also had some pulls which again, aren't immediately noticeable but the dress has been priced accordingly.
A beautiful example of seventies style and creative flair.
