This is a handmade dress, made to measure its previous owner back in the 1970's. The dress is a charming example of how much effort went into dressing up for going out. It has been beautifully put together, I do love to see evidence of the original maker.
The dress is quite tiny so please do check measurements. When it arrived with me there was an iron burn in one of the front panels, I have managed to remove this by taking out some of the chiffon gathers, it hasn't affected the appearance hardly at all.
The dress is lined in orange polyester and the dress fastens with its original zipper in good working order. The sleeves are unlined chiffon and they fasten with small cuffs that have prestuds. The bodice is tailored at the bust and the waistband rises under the bust, almost empire line. There is a shawl collar that forms a V at the chest.
A wonderfully vibrant and fabulously floral dress that could be worn to a prom or appear at any summer garden party for that vintage vibe.
