There's a lot going on in this dress so top marks to the maker who has done an excellent job of tailoring.
The fabric itself is exquisite, a quality weight cotton, the pattern is not easy to describe although 'tablecloth' came to mind, a kind of Little House on the Prairie meets boho style. The neckline has a high, round collar edged in antique lace which also adorns the frill which runs from the mid back over the shoulders to the front, finishing in a deep V where there is a small tied bow. A generous short sleeve is finished with a wide band and the dress fastens at the back with the original zipper. The waist has a narrow elastic sewn into the underside which could easily be removed if desired. The skirt has a full A line shape and is weighted by a large hem. There is a small red stain at the lower front hem which I've photographed, priced accordingly.
