Let's be honest, first impressions can deceive and when I first spied this dress I was knocked out by the vibrant colours and crazy sixties design. However, it's not without flaws and has some small pulls in the polyester fabric as well as discolouration of the white band on the hem trim (which I have considered removing).
There are plenty of plus points though! The fact it has survived the best part of seventy years and can still turn heads with it's unusual fabric print, those eye popping colours and the cute sixties style. Handmade - as so many fabulous frocks were back then, this has tailoring at the bust and an overlapping V neckline finished with a large bow. Fastening with the original zipper and a hook and eye it still has a real charm and a definite summer vibe.
