It wasn't the fabulous sixties print, those bold florals or the great colour palette that drew me to this top but what was written on the label. Made by Brentford's whose tag line is 'Quality with a Conscience'. The irony can't be lost nowadays that we've realised how bad polyester clothing is for the planet but on the other hand, look at how well this has survived over sixty years! I think the message reads true when you consider that this little number is still as stylish and wearable so let's keep it from landfill.
Predominantly chocolate brown with the floral print in russet reds and gold shades and a hint of purple, the collar is suitable 1960s, wide with a V neck. The long sleeves are cuffed and the top includes a belt - no loops which may have been cut off (sometimes they just don't sit right as our waistlines all vary).
