When this arrived with me it was falling apart at many seams. As it is handmade, this is not surprising as much of the stitching was actually made by hand and not machine. I have therefore stitched all seams necessary but have however, left some of the hand stitches which can be seen if you turn inside out - I think it's good to remember the original maker.
The tunic is otherwise free of stains and has remarkable survived with very little sign of snagging of the fabric.
The tunic fastens up the front with its original zipper in good working order. There is a wide collar that has been top stitched at some point. I get the feeling this top may have had a couple of previous owners as both have made attempts to keep it in good repair.
These tunics are becoming fewer and further between to find which isn't surprising given they have lasted in excess of sixty years. This particular tunic benefits from an unmistakeable vibrant sixties fabric design, a real gem.
