This beautiful floral frock has been lovingly created in the 1960s, just imagine the old Singer machine stitching this together. There's evidence of hand stitching too, including the hemline, such love and attention to detail in every aspect. From the choice of fabric to the tailored design, whoever made this put a lot of thought and effort in.
The fabric is a medium weight polyester, bright turquoise blue with purple, pink, green and white ditsy floral detail. The long sleeves are tailored at the elbow and have a narrow lace trim. There's tailoring at the bust, back and shoulder, the front having almost an empire line design with the skirt falling in an A-line. The dress fastens with its original zipper in good working order.
I laundered at low temperature and hung to dry so it required no pressing. A truly gorgeous example of its time and in excellent condition.
