I have several of these shirts in varying colours and lace front design. It takes some time to launder and press them all as vintage shirts tended to come in heavier cotton so of higher quality than we get today.
This one is in very good condition with no marks to the front of the shirt. However, its time stored on a hanger has meant that the collar crease has yellowed as had the top shoulder folds although I've managed to remove those marks. There are some small black flecks, again at the back neck/shoulder edge which are possibly from storage. I have priced accordingly given that the shirt front alone holds it's value as does the quality cotton the shirt is made from.
The feature front panel is in a heavy embroidery anglaise style lace with a short folded frill either side. The button placket is hidden beneath this and the shirt has an extra long length with traditional shirt hem.
The sleeves are fill and have a long French cuff so requiring cuff links.
It is beautiful quality from an age where dress to impress really meant something.
