The classic Crimplene Day Dress, lightweight, textured, stylish and easy to wash and wear.  This dress, like so many of this age, was coming apart at the seams. The polyester based fabric goes on and on but the cotton thread that holds it together has begun disintegrating. I have therefore re-stitched every seam including the darts and handstitching on the front detail. I also added a hook fastening above the zipper and freed up the zip which was a little stiff, but still in good working order. The only flaw is a tiny mark at the bottom of the back hem, pictured.
A lovely reminder of sixties style from a renowned design house of the time.
