I was drawn to this jumper by both the bold use of colour and the telephone design chosen. Most definitely of its time and using a familiar object, as a teenager of the '80s I spent plenty of time on a phone like these. I'm not sure what the letters YCC stand for on a couple of the phones.
Made from acrylic by Stefano International Sportswear. the jumper arrived with bobbling which I've spent a significant amount of time removing - a labour of love. It has a crew neck with a broad ribbed band and narrower cuffs and lower hem. It washed beautifully as expected, acrylic does go on and on and rarely loses much shape as wool tends to. There is still a small amount of wear but I've done my best to restore it to its former glory and it deserves to be seen again.
